3.3 Cautions to avoid damage
To keep your Kikobot C1 working safely and for a long time, please follow these key precautions:
-
Unpack Carefully: Handle the box and parts gently during unpacking. Avoid using excessive force or sharp objects.
-
Align Joint Marks Before Powering On: This is crucial. Always align the marked lines on each joint before turning on the power to prevent collisions during startup. Failure to do so may damage the robot.
-
Let the Robot Home: The KikoBot C1 will automatically perform a "homing" sequence when first powered on (and after power loss or updates). Do not interrupt this process.
-
Don't Touch During Initial Movement: After powering on and resetting, do not touch or stop the robot's initial movements. This could damage its motors.
-
Listen for Unusual Noises: If you hear any strange noises during operation, immediately disconnect the power and contact your supplier.
-
Use the Correct Power Supply: Only use the provided 12V 10A adapter. Using a different one could damage the robot.
-
Don't Force the Joints: Never manually force the robot's joints beyond their normal range.
-
Manage Cables: Keep cables organized and away from moving parts.
